Do you feel that watching baseball game in America is very boring? I do. Because watching it in Taiwan is much more interesting. The baseball in Taiwan is considered as a national sport. In America, it is one of the most well-liked sports. They both have their own baseball culture. Thus, there are some similarities and differences of baseball cultures between the U.S. and the Taiwan.
The baseball in Taiwan and America are both a very popular sport. Some parts of baseball watching cultures are similar. For example, both of them have professional leagues, so they both consider that is a kind of entertainment. In addition, crowds in both countries will drink beer during the games. It is just like drinking in the bar. Another, people in America will support their team and try every method to bother the other team which is same as the Taiwan. This is the most interesting part during a game. So, some parts of baseball culture are similar or the same.
However, some of them are very different. First, it doesn’t have very obvious home team in Taiwan in contrast that people in American will support a team in their state. Therefore, people in Taiwan just support a team they like. By this reason, each team owns half of the crowds in the stadium in contrast to whole same team supporters in America. Another, watching games in America spend too much waiting some happen and doing nothing. On the other hand, because of supporters of two teams are in the same stadium in Taiwan, we will sing, shout slogans, and it also has music played by a band to keep high morale. On the whole, the most different parts result from the difference of supporters in stadium.
Although there are some differences and similarities between the baseball cultures of two countries, the America and the Taiwan, everyone in the country still enjoys watching the games. If possible, people in America ought to experience the baseball culture in Taiwan and enjoy crowds of two teams fighting against. You will absolutely fall in love with the culture in Taiwan.

ReplyDeletei really liked your essay about the baseball game. i agree with u about how the american baseball game is boring. i Have been in one of the baseball games in US and it was really boring that even the audience were not watching the game, they go there to chitchat with other people. after that i thought that all the baseball games are the same and boring, but after i read your essay i think that the baseball game in your country is different and much more interesting .
